My First Blog!

About me…. (although most of you reading this will know about me anyway!)
I am Naomi, I’m 19 from a very small town called Blandford in Dorset (It’s kind of near Bournemouth). I am studying journalism combined with choreography and dance. If I’m honest I am a bit fed up of people looking at me like I’m mental when i say what I am studying! But to me it makes sense as my main aim is to be a dance critic… therefor studying both dance and journalism will be more beneficial to me than studying one or the other. I teach Ballet, Tap and Modern at a dance school in Bournemouth, which i enjoy a lot. I love spending time on the Dorset beaches, but i also love good old Winchester!

As a result of Mondays eventful lecture i started reading the book “Scoop”. I wasn’t expecting it to be so much of a traditional novel and I’m finding it a bit hard to get into if I’m honest! but I havn’t got that far into it so who knows I may be hooked soon…
Scoop I think is very funny, but very dry subtle humour. The phrase “I agree with you up to a point, Lord Copper” is a very funny way of saying “I don’t agree with you” in exactly the hypocritical style Orwell was talking about when he described “euphonious language”.
